`how to turn a post bout phone into an emo one

i've recently been peppered by "so why havent you get a smartphone already?"
truth is i can get a smartphone whenever i want,
in fact if i really want one, i can get it at the next sunrise!
and i am really tempted to..

until i look at my current phone,
one simple but fully functional phone.
and with that,
i inadvertently wanders into my inbox..
and i stare at the blank screen,
once filled with so much messages that dwarfs the national library,
is now a barren land, desolated by memories.

with that, i subdue my temptation of getting a smartphone.
as there really isnt a need for me.

the said smartphone would be a glorified paperweight,
a nest for worry,
worry if the phone is scratched,
worry if the phone is dropped,
worry if the phone is misplaced,
worry if the phone is lost...
alex phone is lost again.
